Kimberly Whaley has been appointed to the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) Seniors Expert Advisory Committee.
Addressing seniors issues is a priority for the OSC. The newly reconstituted Committee will serve as a forum to discuss issues and challenges faced by seniors and the industry serving them, in order to provide valuable input on the implementation of the OSC Seniors Strategy including the policy, operational, education and outreach initiatives outlined therein.
Mandate:
The Seniors Expert Advisory Committee (SEAC) serves as a forum to discuss issues and challenges faced by seniors. This advisory committee was established to provide staff with expert opinion and input on securities-related policy, operational, education and outreach activities of the OSC designed for and targeted at older investors and their needs. The Committee will consist of up to 15 members with a term of one year and will meet approximately four to six times over the course of that year. The SEAC will be chaired by the Director, Investor Office.
