On Friday, June 19, 2020, MAG’s Recovery Secretariat will be hosting a COVID-19 Safety Seminar for any staff and stakeholders who are interested in hearing more about the virus, its transmission and best practices for preventing transmission, including in a workplace.
We would like to invite you to an interactive health and safety webinar for those returning to work in courthouses.
Many of you attended our town halls and provided positive and useful feedback. We have heard and understand your concerns about your health and safety when returning to courthouses and can assure you that the ministry’s plans to reopen courts align with the advice of Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health.
You may be aware that the ministry has engaged Dr. Michelle Murti, a Public Health Ontario physician specializing in communicable diseases and emergency preparedness and response, as well as Assistant Deputy Minister Ron Kelusky, the Chief Prevention Officer for Ontario from the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development, who is providing occupational health and safety expertise. These two experts have been providing the ministry with advice and resources as we plan how to safely re-open in-person proceedings in courthouses.
We think hearing from Dr. Murti and Assistant Deputy Minister Kelusky could help address any concerns you may have about COVID-19 and the ministry’s health and safety precautions for the recovery of the courts.
On Friday, June 19th from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Dr. Murti and Assistant Deputy Minister Kelusky will offer an interactive presentation to provide up-to-date information about the transmission of COVID-19 and how its spread can be stopped. They will also answer your questions. In order to access the session, please click on its link above. You will then be directed to a dedicated Microsoft Teams live event.
These are unprecedented times. Thank you once again for your dedication and hard work in the face of professional and personal challenges.
