Join WEL Partners in celebrating and supporting of The Honourable George R. Strathy’s indelible contributions to the legal profession. Thanks to the leadership and initiative of Shawn Richard, Advocate, the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University is pleased to establish The Honourable George R. Strathy Award. This award recognizes law students who have contributed to the health and wellness and a sense of belonging in the Lincoln Alexander Law community, and who demonstrate financial need and academic excellence.
Please join WEL and the legal community in celebrating the legacy of the former Chief Justice as an advocate for strengthening diversity in the Bar and the Bench, modernizing courts, and prioritizing the mental health of legal professionals. Together, we can raise $225,000, which will allow us to offer this award in perpetuity to three law students annually.
