On July 1, 2017, amendments to the Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure became effective.
Some new additions and/or changes to the Rules include:
- Rule 4.01(1): the required coloured pages for front covers of motion records;
- Rule 37.12.1(2.1): consent motions to the Ontario Court of Appeal require an affidavit setting out why it is appropriate to make the order sought; and
- Rules 59.04(9), (10), and (12): a party must scheduling an appointment to settle an order must serve the new form 59D on all other parties represented at the appointment to have an order settled by the Court.
