Mark Polese, BMus, JD
Mark is a lawyer at WEL Partners with a wealth of experience with in-court matters and disputes. He earned his Juris Doctor from Queen’s University in 2022 and completed his articles before being called to the bar in British Columbia in 2023.
Before joining WEL Partners, Mark practiced criminal defense law in Vancouver, BC, where he honed his skills as a litigator both inside and outside the courtroom. During his time as a criminal defense lawyer, Mark gained valuable litigation experience in both the BC Supreme Court and the BC Court of Appeal, earning a reputation for his steadfast advocacy on behalf of his clients. He has now channeled that experience and passion into the practice of estate litigation with WEL.
Coming from a background in criminal law, Mark was drawn to estate litigation because it addresses deeply human issues that resonate with everyone.
Before embarking on his legal career, Mark earned a Bachelor of Music from Queen’s University, where he studied classical guitar, jazz bass, and musical theatre. In his spare time, Mark enjoys performing, hiking, playing soccer, and discovering the best espresso in the city.
